General announcements

Four weeks until senior work is due! (May 13)
- graduation is Wednesday, May 25
testing this week! refer to the schedule on the Commons whiteboard for what you’re taking when
- this is your opportunity to show that alternative methods for schooling are effective!
Triage test tips
- don’t know a question? skip it and come back (but don’t leave it blank in the end!)
- try to predict the answer - fill in the blank or answer it yourself before reading the options
- read all the options (don’t get fooled by “which is the best option?” questions)
- process of elimination! take out the options that you know won’t fit - so you’re choosing between two or three viable options instead of four
- math: don’t forget order of operations (PMDAS)
- math: with integers, make sure your answer has the correct sign (look for positive vs negative) - don’t just look at the number
- reading: read the questions first, then look for answers while you’re reading
