monday meetings

weekly meetings: making a "self paced, self placed" plan

MMM 12 April

4/12/2021

Everything is different this week because of testing - if you missed MMM, check in with your advisor about which days you are taking tests. When you are not testing, you’ll be in modules as usual (see below).

Testing can be a difficult process, but remember that it’s just a progress check along your educational journey. Make the most of it and don’t be too hard on yourself.

General announcements
  • Appreciations!
    • Thanks to Steve for organizing and leading the baseball game field trip!
    • Appreciation to all the students who engaged in the all-school kickball and soccer games last week
    • Three cheers to the students who earned their driver licenses and who have started the process on earning their permits
    • Thanks to Daniel for talking with the staff about feedback from students on his school survey
    • Good job to the students who met with Kristen to start the process to take CMC classes in the fall
  • Breakfast and lunch is provided each day during Testing
  • Friday is check; you still need to close contract as usual and be in the building Friday if modules are not complete yet
  • Interested in learning glass blowing? You have an opportunity for a free two-hour class with Barry from Vulcan Glass! Talk to Christine if you are interested. Can count towards an elective credit. Thanks to Robyn from SWAP for coordinating this!
  • Interested in learning about how to run or work at a tattoo artist studio? Talk to Christine about that, too - Robyn can schedule a session with the artist on Main Street
  • Senior meeting - rescheduled, will be next Tuesday
  • Testing schedule
    • When you aren’t testing, you’ll be in the modules you sign up for

    What are MMMM?

After the meeting, students create contracts, signing up for the modules they will take and other activities they will participate in.
