General announcements
  • Election Day!
    • During elective, we’ll do Mindfulness and then a mock vote for president and some of the ballot measures on the table this year
    • Come to our Election Night Extravaganza tonight!
      • free dinner
      • watch election results live
      • play strategy games about domination (Risk, Carcassonne)
      • watch political-related movies
      • earn points for English or SS
      • engage in our political process!
  • Contract #6 starts today (54 pts minimum)
  • Advisory meeting to discuss Optimist Club, Inspire Grant, decision making for the school
    • If you met with Windy a couple weeks ago, keep your ears open 
    • Tentative meeting Wednesday afternoon at 1:00
  • Students may not smoke on this campus!
    • That includes the road in front of school (even though it’s technically on campus)
    • We recognize some students have a nicotine addiction, but we don’t encourage it and don’t want to be associated with it
    • If students are found with nicotine on campus, it will be confiscated; nicotine products (including vape pens) are prohibited on campus
    • Want to quit? Great! Join the NOT group this Thursday during Elective
  • We are still having issues with laptops not being signed out
  • Kitchen sink is full of dishes - if it’s not cleaned this morning, the kitchen will be closed again this week

  • A woman from FYI wants to start a teen clothing drive
    • great idea for service learning; talk to Juli if you’re interested
  • Full Circle Restorative Justice
    • peer mediation: have students work through issues with you, rather than teachers
    • decisions can be more informed because of peer input
    • talk to Juli if you are interested in helping out with this
  • Juli is still looking for students to help out with re-entry meetings
  • Careers: module in the PM this week to work on college applications

Community Service/Service Learning
  • Tuesday: Mini Blessings after school
  • Wednesday: Mini Blessings - help prep for holiday fundraiser 
  • Thursday: Food Backpacks and Preschool (Adv/Elective), Mini Blessings after school
  • Friday: Preschool, Mini Blessings

    What are MMMM?

    At the start of each week, the whole school gets together for a Monday Morning Meeting. Here, staff give general announcements, and teachers present their modules for the week. After the meeting, students create contracts, signing up for the modules they will take and other activities they will participate in.
