General announcements
  • Friday is the first check of the year!
    • If you had open modules last Friday, get them signed off by your teacher today or tomorrow - don’t leave it until Friday!
    • You must get your points signed off, turn in your contract to your advisor, and get a check out card to be considered “CC” (contract complete) when you leave Friday
  • Road to Graduation - transition to new expectations for Old Dogs
    • This semester, you are in the color you have earned based on credits, and the current privileges apply (see the top of your contract)
    • You have until the end of the semester to get caught up with the required ICAP credits for your current color on the road. If, by the start of next semester, you have not caught up, you will then bounce back to the level that corresponds to the ICAP credits you have not yet completed
  • Practicum time and points
    • We built in time to work on ICAP credits on Mondays and Thursdays because students asked for it. That time is an opportunity for you to work on one of your current ICAP credits independently, but with support of the teacher of record.
    • You will earn points for each Practicum session - and minimum points for each contract include the points you can earn for Practicum.
  • Christine closed door work hour
    • Christine is aiming to have one hour of focused work time each day. Her door will be closed, and there will be a sign on the door. During that time, if you need to talk with her, please write your name on the white board outside her door; when her work hour is finished, she will come find you.
    • When Christine’s door is closed and the sign is up, problem solve - reach out to other staff members or other students. Staff can interrupt in emergencies, but that should be rare. It’s only one hour. :)
  • Lunch trash outside
    • If you order lunch through the district, it comes in disposable containers. Please throw these away in the big trash cans in the Commons - not outside. If you take food outside, bring in the container to dispose of it.
    • If you don’t want your lunch, please put the container in the student fridge or throw it out; don’t leave containers of food lying around

    What are MMMM?

After the meeting, students create contracts, signing up for the modules they will take and other activities they will participate in.
