General announcements
  • Earn points, complete modules, get credits. 
  • Ski day debrief
    • Thank you for coming! Commit, connect, play - it was awesome to see so many students committing to having a good time with each other
    • Students who saw the trip as an opportunity to see what you can get away with… this was a test to prove yourself. You ask for respect - you’re creating your own reputation.
  • If you didn’t pass last contract, talk with your advisor to ensure your next one is successful
  • You must close contract, even if you think or know you won’t pass. Talk to all your teachers and your advisor before you leave.
    • If you don’t close contract, it’s an automatic fail
    • Contracts are an accountability measure for CCHS for the state
  • Kitchen has been better this year without dishes
    • If you left dishes out, they’re now at NewBees
    • Some students have been getting into a pattern of taking lunch off, then making lunch in the kitchen after lunch break finishes. This doesn’t work - lunch is for lunch!
    • Kitchen will be closed during class time. If you need to cook, you need a pass
  • Student bike - bike isn’t being locked on a regular basis. Please take care of this bike! 
  • Admin group will be here around 10:30 today to observe - make them feel welcome
  • Princeton Hot Springs special on early release days - see bulletin board for details

    • if you want to apply, they’ll waive the fee when you visit

    • visit Denver Art Museum - Edward Degas exhibit!
    • eat breakfast with state Rep Jim Wilson and Senator Keri Donovan
    • tour State capital

  • Sign up for the Nurturing Parenting class with Sarah Green!
    • points towards Health credit
    • free class for parents/guardians and their teens (with dinner)
    • meet for 12 weeks at Cornerstone, starts January 30
    • goal is to help your parents/guardians understand you better and to improve communication on both sides
    • really powerful, helpful class - genuinely improves relationships!
  • Chocolate Lover’s Fantasy - Chaffee County Alliance

    • should we organize a table (chocolates and appetizers) and win? because it’s all about winning

Community Service
  • When you do community service, make sure you fill out your sheet and give to Jeannette! that’s the way your hours are tracked

    What are MMMM?

    At the start of each week, the whole school gets together for a Monday Morning Meeting. Here, staff give general announcements, and teachers present their modules for the week. After the meeting, students create contracts, signing up for the modules they will take and other activities they will participate in.
