General announcements

• The first text message was sent 25 years ago today
• School ski day: we’ll plan to do one, if not two, next semester
  • Sign up on Mike’s door if you are interested - and if you need rentals and/or lessons
  • Ski or snowboard
• Emergency drills
  • Situational awareness: 
    • if we need to lock down immediately, stay in a classroom or get into the closest classroom
    • if there’s time (like a tornado drill), go to your advisory
  • When we evacuate, meet at the rock behind the school, then listen for instructions (we will likely go to the old skate park or the police station, etc)
  • Bottom line: be aware of the situation and listen to what the staff is saying
• Please don’t kick open the front door… it won’t last long if we continue to do that
• Commons: please, please maintain library atmosphere
  • on task, quiet
  • if you’re not doing that, expect to be redirected or moved
  • seniors are buckling down - please be respectful of this workspace!

  • Sign up if you are interested (we have four copies available; after that, provide your own)
  • Read over the next three weeks, analyzing for weekly themes (see website for details)
  • Participate via book club group on Snapchat
  • Earn points for participation - and, optionally, by completing regular R&W components

Community Service

• Mini Blessings module - second block for mentors
  • Three new mentors needed for the next three weeks
  • Could perhaps contribute towards Work Experience if you don’t have a job
• Tuesdays after school: Mini Blessings cart driving support
• Thursday morning: Food Backpacks at 9:15 a.m.
