Hi, I’m Eli and it’s been a short but fun experience at CCHS, it was a great opportunity to interact with new people and an honor to graduate early. I would like to begin by telling you about who I am and why I attended CCHS.
Growing up I lived in a fairly large area of northern Kentucky close to Cincinnati Ohio, quite a different place than Buena Vista Colorado. Unfortunately 2015 brought a lot of change into my life. Last spring my parents divorced and it turned my world upside down. I found myself in this very small town feeling somewhat displaced. I was so done with everything and did not want to get to know anyone. When school started last fall I was very reluctant to open up to people. As the year progressed I was determined to graduate by December of 2016, but was not sure that it could happen. I had a lot of work ahead of me. Through the year I got to know more of the students and realized that this school was really good for me. The teachers supported me in every step and helped guide me through the school year. I made some wonderful memories from feeding miniature horses to my first time in downtown Denver on the government trip. Toward the end of the school year I didn’t realize the amount of work that I had completed and ended up with the ability to graduate this year. I am honored to have this opportunity to graduate early. It turned out to be a great year and I didn’t realize how much I would miss this small town and the people in it. |
